Are there extra pots I can purchase so I can easily change from cheese fondue, to main course, to dessert, etc.?

I am not certain if Nostalgia sells additional pots; however, I am sure you can sibstitute one of your own pots of a similar size. I would recomend not using one with a handle, since it may get in the way.

Will it milt choc.for molds

I don't see why not. I gave this as a gift, so I never used it myself. But if it can heat things for fondue, it could certainly melt chocolate.Good luck!

what is the temperature range? the lowest and highest?

Contrary to the other answer, our booklet says it only goes to 200 degrees fahrenheight. (I'm not saying the other person was wrong; maybe they received a different model?) That makes it hard to make broth fondue. You *can* do broth fondue, but it won't reach boiling, and it takes 3-4 minutes to cook small strips of meat and broccoli, and 4-5 minutes to cook chunks of potato, which feels really slow. We decided to keep the pot because it still works well for cheese and chocolate fondue, and we'll just use a pot on an induction plate for broth fondue or hot pot.

Can you make caramel dipped apples

I have never tried caramel apples. But I don't see why you couldn't. I made cheese sauce for chips and I had no problem. Hope this helps! Have a Happy Thanksgiving...
