LEGO Prince of Persia Quest Against Time (7572)

This set is an awesome, interactive booby trapped set perfect for Indy, Johnny Thunder, or any other lego adventurer out there. It has a lot of special pieces, such as the old swords, the light brick, the katana sheath, and the giant blade. Also, this set is less expensive than when it was on store shelves, a rare moment for lego. A must have for collectors who like a bargain.

My 8 year old son really loved this kit. He spent two nights putting it together. There are two halves to it so he spent the first night doing the first half. The second night he did the other part. He seemed to enjoy putting it together and played with it for about a week after. There are moving parts and traps that are great for the young imagination. As with all Legos, the cost is more than I feel it should be, but my son sure loves them. They are a great educational tool, as long as you take the time to teach them with the simple kits first and then work up. He is always so proud when he finishes and says, "Hey Daddy, I did it and all by myself".

We are talking about LEGO, so generally only a few things can go wrong. Definitely a buy, but here are three of the bad points:1. Some of the pieces fit too loosely together (laxed quality control?). Not too happy with that and will most likely ask LEGO for replacement parts.2. The tip of the dagger is too soft!!! When you stick it into the hole to turn on the light switch, it bends. Do that enough times, and you will end up ruining a prized LEGO piece.3. I had a hard time putting on Princess Tamina's hairpiece straight, while the cape is also on. (The point formed by the folded neck area of the cape is right on the ponytail. I think you will know what I mean when you try it yourself.)

If your kid is into "functions" on LEGOs, get this set! My son doesn't know the Prince of Persia movie, but loves this set anyway just because of all the "stuff" it does. Bear in mind, though, that the set represents saw blades, knives, etc., so you might want to hold off until your kid is a bit older.

Quick service, fun toy. Love the light up Lego. It's as close to the movie as can be had. My little boys love the part where you put in the dagger and the tower lights up all gold. Very cool. Lego's are always awesome!

My son and I really enjoyed putting this one together. I just watched and pointed from time to time. Young children might need help connecting base plates. The "Sands of Time" blocks that really light up are an especially cool feature on this set... Parents, How do we get the kids to keep the pieces together so we be rebuild the item more than 3 times? My son always seen to scatter the pieces no matter what we try?

PoP Quest Against Time set offers many features such as rotating blades and swords, light-up brick (cell provided). Playability-wise, vey fun. However, the color is not really attractive i.e. grey and brown. Not very appealing as a display set. Another plus point, no stickers at all!PS: For the PoP theme, my order of preference from most to least preferred set is: Battle of Alamut (7573), Fight for the Dagger (7571), The Ostrich Race (7570), Desert Attack Set (7569), Quest Against Time (7572).

We bought this "Indiana Jones" knock-off set for our grandson's birthday. He proceeded to build it in minutes, then spent hours happily chopping the characters heads off with the big saw and fighting sword fights. Legos are what jigsaw puzzles used to be, with the added bonus that children can play with the set afterwards.Five stars.
