Replacement Dell LCD AC Adapter for Dell 20.1" Flat Panel TFT LCD Monitor Dell UltraSharp 2001FP,90W 20V 4-pin din

I pulled my old Dell monitor out of storage. It's old, from about 2003, and I had't used it in a few years. Nothing happened when I plugged it in and I quickly tracked it down to a faulty power supply. A few days later I had this bad boy and the monitor was working fine again.

This adapter worked perfect and appears to be identical to the original which I lost over the years. Unfortunately, the monitor, which I saved as a replacement started to malfunction so I did not get to use either the monitor or adapter very long!

This Adapter arrived as expected and its serving me, it works perfectly and though it consumes a lot of power.

Good:It fits in the connector. It don't get hot, it don't have a loud fan inside. It has a GREEN status LED (Blue is so horrible for things like that)Bad:Nothing, as of yet.Oops:My monitor's backlight is out. I'm not sure if it's because this power supply is not supply voltage on all pins, or what's going on. Going to test with a voltometer later. Will update, if I can, when new data is available.

Just what I needed to enliven my old Dell monitor. Alas, the monitor won't work without the Dell monitor software, which I have but it won't work with a non Dell laptop.

Item arrived and as soon as I plugged it in, the plastic part of the plug fell apart at the metal plug. I was able to force it back in, but guess what not one week of use and now the monitor will not turn on. I am returning this and I hope it didn't kill my monitor! Also there were lines on the monitor that randomly appeared. I think this product is terrible. Don't waste your time! Get a genuine or a better unit!

Awesome, resurrected a perfectly good 20" 4:3 monitor for me. Personally I prefer this for work use as it allows desk space for 3 screens instead of 2. The new power supply was neatly packaged and works beautifully. Definitely worth it.
