Really good quality fountain pen, well finished and the nib is medium sized. Does not scratch or rub. Paintwork in eye catching metallic colors (only the purple is not metallic ).Easy writing, quite hard nib, but good for heavy writing!Made to last. Overall well balanced but on the light side. Excellent fountain pen for little money! Recommended!

Okay, so I can admit to a fetish for a nice fountain pen. But doesn't that mean I am harder to please? This pen was such a bargain, I almost purchased just so I could pull it apart. This world has no place for scratchy pens. .. But wait! What is this? (Opening fabulous box) Oh, my word! I was almost blinded by the vibrance of gorge colour! (Sits down at the desk, dismantles pen) Wow, what a fabulous nib.... NO CARTRIDGE??!! Booooo! BUT.. what's this? An ink converter supplied? Now I cannot decide whether to use a Waterman Cartridge or fill my virgin reservoir with ink. Opted for filling with ink, on the basis that if the ink reservoir was leaky or messy, my work would be complete. Actually, the pen was a dream to load, with Dryden Ink, just a quick wipe on kitchen paper and I was ready to go. It will be scratchy... it will be scratchy .... it will be scr.......... Oh my word..... This pen is a dream.... ! Oh what joy!This, is a gorgeous pen. Whether for yourself or a gift. Stop dithering and order it, but do remember to order some ink or cartridges otherwise you will be infuriated. Aside from that oversight, Dryden seem to have cracked the everyday market with this stunner.

Having recently returned to using fountain pens to reduce plastic use and improve sustainability I have to say I had forgotten the pleasure of using ink and a good nib. This is the first Dryden pen I have tried, having read a favourable review and I LOVE IT! It has a nice weight to it both with and without the top on and the medium nib writes smoothly and effortlessly. I am using the converter to make the most of some coloured ink I purchased separately and again, I am pleased with the results. So much that I have immediately ordered another!

Excellent value for the price, good durable product. Best order a bottle of ink to refill yourself, but you can use the standard cartridges, too. But there is no reason, really, as the refill-with-ink-bottle is an excellent solution.The only thing that bothers me is that this pen seems to dry out faster than others and so you might to rinse it more often with clear water, well after all, it might just be my climate. But apart from that.... absolutely no complaints. The handle seems a little slim which makes the grip difficult at times, but nothing you won't bet able to get used to. Great beginners tool, especially for this unbeatable price. Just can't find anything really wrong with this item. I mean: it does its job formidably. Great tool for casual writers or total beginners alike.

Thought I had already written a review for this product, but it seems not, so here we go.I love writing with ink pens. Had to use them in my upper primary school and so I guess using one is second-nature to me. The problem is that with so many of the fountain pens I have purchased, they either write horribly, or the ink in the nib dries out causing a blockage with ink flow. I purchased this pen as I loved the deep metallic green colour, and I am pleased to say this has to be the best fountain one I have used in my memory. Ink writes incredibly smoothly, nib is not scratchy, and I have had no ink blockages. One slight disappointment is that the ink cartridges from my old fountain open are slightly to fat to fit in this new one. But fortunately this pen comes with a refillable ink chamber. Highly recommended.

Hmmm, jury's out on this one.Rather a smaller pen than I was expecting, which I didn't like, it feels rather insubstantial. Nice looking though and seems well made, but we shall see.What I really didn't like was paying the postage costs, especially as the pen was enclosed in a large box with an entirely unrelated couple of items on which I had also paid heavy postage. The items in total weren't heavy enough to warrant the postal charge of over £10.00. So I paid TWICE. Not on, Amazon.LATER: Finally, after much faffing around, I managed to get some ink into the converter. The cartridges I bought simply don't work. Right size, international generic ones, wouldn't 'puncture'. UselessThe pen nib is scratchy, 'bites' on the paper and doesn't flow well. Utter waste of cash. Deeply regretted purchase. Don't waste your money.

Love this pen! Smooth writer, joy to hold. Ink flows consistently. Even my husband says this is the best pen ever!And - my favourite colour. Great value for money.

Bought this for my grandson as a Christmas present. He was delighted with it. It wrote beautifully. I tried it myself. I would recommend.
