Great looking and well made
I had to buy new golf shoes since the previous once were made of stud soles, which were not giving good traction during swing especially when wet. I need wide shoes since my forefoot is wider. New Balance gives options of 2E or 4E, and I had great satisfaction with their shoes for casual wear or running. Additional advantage is that this is waterproof. I bought the white/red color. It is very good looking. I've been using it for almost few months and so far I never lost the grip. It is very light to walk or jog. I run marathons and so prefer to jog between holes (I never use cart) to keep pace with the people in carts and not to slow down; I find these very easy to run similar to the other shoes (Adidas) that I had. And you can't beat the price at 49$ for a golf shoes. Most of my earlier shoes around 100$

These shoes fit exactly the same as their running/walking counterparts.
I've always had an issue with the fit of golf shoes - as in, they were always too narrow. For more than 30 years I've worn either Nike or Foot Joy and always had the same issue. FINALLY I have a shoe that fits well and doesn't cramp my feet in the toe box. Fourteen years ago I began wearing New Balance athletic/running shoes for my employment as a respiratory therapist, where I worked long, twelve hour shifts. About eight years ago I transitioned to NB Walking shoes when I needed to add orthotics. I've been pleased with the fit, comfort and with how well they've worn and lasted. Imagine how I felt when I discovered NB made a golf shoe! Not only that, but I discovered after ordering that they fit equally as well as my running/walking shoe and are the same exact numeric length and width! Now I can confidently order golf shoes online and know they will fit. And fit well. I will be a repeat customer!

New Balance does not disappoint. Since they made their first running shoe in 1960 (the year I was born, coincidentally) they have made their shoes in variable widths. I have a wide-ish foot so when I needed training shoes to run and go to the gym with I went to NB. When I needed new golf shoes this year I was very happy to note in a golf magazine that NB is making golf shoes now. I realized I was holding my breath a little as I opened the the box and tried them on but, no need to, they fit great. 11.5 4e. Boom! Great shoe. Great American Company. Well, mostly. Kind of a bummer that owner and chairman Jim Davis supports Mr. Small Hands. I can perhaps understand his reasoning though as it seems to center on the TPP Trade agreement. I would council though that M.S.H. wont fix this or anything else that cannot be solved with mere bluster and brag. But I digress.

Width seems a little wider than a NB running shoe
I bought these a week after getting my feet scanned and fitted at a New Balance store for a new pair of NB1080 running shoes ( replacing a pair of NB 880s that were a year old ). The length of the golf shoe is very similar to my new 1080s. To me, it feels like the golf shoes have a wider toe box area. This may be because the running shoes are mesh fabric. I will probably go back to FootJoy shoes next time. They just seem to fit my foot better. Overall...these shoes are worth the price. I would recommend trying a pair on before purchasing as they do fit a little different than a NB running shoe. I hope this helps you with your decision.

My best golf shoe in 20 years, averaging 20-ish miles / week walking golf
New Balance shoes really suit my wide feet – roomy toe boxes. For golf, I always walk and carry my bag. A round on my home course is typically six miles. On weekdays, I walk the par-3 course (about a four-mile walk) in hot, humid conditions. On the weekends, I'm a dew-sweeper in the mornings to beat the heat. So I've put about 18 miles in these shoes over the last couple weeks in hot and wet conditions. I wear these with merino wool socks. My thoughts? Very comfortable. No hot spots. No blisters. Room to wiggle my toes even late in the round. Great traction for my golf swing. My feet stay dry, and don't feel sweaty at any time during the round. Good breathability. No funky smells. These New Balance NBG2004s are the best golf shoes I can remember, which includes several pairs of Foot Joy and Nike golf shoes over the last 20 years.

Writing titles is the hardest part of a review
Love these shoes. I got the black ones, and they look really sharp with the green accents. It took a while to adjust the laces where I want them so they wouldn't be too tight or loose, but it's a good fit once I did. They feel slightly snug, like good golf shoes should for control. And the 'star' type cleats grip really well. I would test them by trying to slip on purpose, and couldn't do it.The back top of the shoe is rounded, unlike a lot of athletic shoes that have a dip, and I was a little worried about that, but it's no concern at all.The laces are actually gray, and not black as they appear to me in the photos, but they match the bottom of the shoes well, so it looks good.

Works great in wet conditions
I was looking for a pair of waterproof golf shoes. My previous pair were horrible in wet conditions and my feet would be soaked by the end of a round. I used these for the first time during a round after a rain storm the night before. Though the course was well drained, it was still damp in the early hours. My feet remained dry for the entire round. They are very comfortable and fit as expected. The spikes held up well after a few rounds and will report back on their condition at the end of the season.

Finally a golf shoe I don’t feel
I tried Adidas golf shoes. They hurt by the middle of every round. I tried Nike golf shoes. Same problem. My feet, mainly my toes, hurt by the middle of every round. The New Balance shoes were the solution for me. Granted they don’t look as cool at the Adidas or Nike’s but my feet no longer hurt with every swing so I’ll take that. They are comfortable and solid. I don’t even know I’m wearing them, which is perfect in my opinion
