Book of Mormon: 1830 Edition (the ONLY Leather Bound replica; and the most accurate version sold) Leather Bound – January 1, 2017

I love having this on the shelf. After seeing several original editions, this really looks just like them.Would recommend.

I was initially turned off by the self-aggrandizing advertising ("only leather-bound", "last for generations", "most accurate replica", etc.) but decided to give it a go. Just got it so can't speak to longevity, but it does seem pretty stout, binding seems strong, opens nicely. Paper is quality and consistently colored - no weird scan background coloring. And it looks great. Would make a great display piece.I don't have a legit 1830 (I wouldn't have bought this if I did) so (aside from the 1830 at the bottom of the first page) I can't verify that it's an 1830 (as opposed to 1837, 1840, etc.), but it definitely differs from the 1981 version. I just read Jacob 2 - which is Jacob 2 and 3 in the 1981 version - while listening to a recording of a modern version and it appears that Brother Joseph liked the word "that" - there were about 5 or so "that"s in this version that aren't in the modern version. Also spot checked Jacob 2 vs my sister's 1830 (Apocryphile Press Edition, 2005) and they match, but the text quality of this book is much better than the Apocryphile version. The text is definitely a scan/copy (presumably of an 1830), and has some thick or thin letters and a little extra ink in places - it isn't quite as crisp and consistent as a modern book - but everything I've seen is easily legible.Very nice book. I think it's just what I was looking for.

This leather bound replica of the original 1830 Book of Mormon is legit. Really can see the slightly wavy typeset and modulating ink character of each printed page; very authentic to the way printing was done in 1830 with each page typeset by hand and inked rolled and pressed printed. Cool to have a replica of one of the original 3,000 copies and even cooler to read this book in the format that the first members of Jesus Christ's restored church read it. I invite everyone to read the Book of Mormon in any format, old or new, and read how this book testifies that Jesus is the Christ, God's Holy Son that atoned for the world. Read it and pray to God to know its' truth

I had ordered a book - a replica of the 1830 edition of the Book of Mormon. USPS failed to deliver this package in timely manner, but after finally receiving the book - worth the wait! The binding is superb, pages and font replicated to period. At that time, the book was not divided into verses as normal scriptures are today. It is much easier to follow the story lines reading in regular paragraph. We will have to have separate bookmarks since we will be sharing this book. Probably like families back in 1830! Excellent purchase!! Totally worth the 18 day wait.....

This is awesome!!! For and finish is super well done. I love the flow of the book with no verses and I feel like Nephi is really talking to me. I also love the connection to Joseph smith and the early saints m owing that this is how they studied it. I want to buy this for other friends and family just because it gives you a different feel and truly is enjoyable to read.

Received a flawed copy (printed incorrectly by publisher) which was expeditiously replaced by confettibooks. Excellent service and great keepsake book! Thank you.

It is absolutely wonderful to read The Book of Mormon the way it was originally printed. I know we need numbered verses, but to read it without all that helps me to really see the STORY in it. Highly recommended.

I didn't personally see this book but my son, who is on his mission asked for one. I got him this one and he said it was even better than the one he thought I was getting him. Thank you so much! I guess it really is more authentic like the description says.
