Acoustic Hits: MTV Unplugged

Good sound and nice music.

This is an excellent commentary on what a-ha has accomplished over the years since there inception and arrival on the scene and to where they are now.Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen and Pål Waaktaar-Savoy are quite legendary to some of us who were and continue to be touched by their sound, genius and melodic quality that touches our hearts and the very fiber of who we are and what we share in common.I purchased this album from Amazon and it is an excellent acoustic album from a-ha. I have been collecting and listening to a-ha ever since "Hunting High And Low." "MTV Unplugged - Summer Solstice" is very innovative and sounds great. i welcome and like the two news songs 'This Is Our Home' and 'A Break In The Clouds'. I like this album on a personal level I suppose, but isn't that the point? Included are The Living Daylights + (Live From MTV Unplugged, Giske / 2017), Summer Moved On + (Live From I like this album on a personal level I suppose, but isn't that the point? MTV Unplugged, Giske / 2017) - featuring Alison Moyet, Lifelines + (Live From MTV Unplugged, Giske / 2017) and Scoundrel Days + (Live From MTV Unplugged, Giske / 2017 - featuring Ian McCulloch and they are all very good in their own way.It has been quite a journey.

a-ha unplugged was a terrific performance but some of the songs were unnecessary in my opinion and this abridged version spares us the bloat. Also the ovations of the audience are tamed in this edit which makes for an overall more pleasant listening experience. The order of the songs was changed in accordance with the chronology of their release dates rather than their place in the set. I would have preferred their order the consistent with how they were performed but it's not a deal breaker for me.

This album really shows that music can mature and fulfill its destiny. They music stands on its own and the true emotion shines from within without all the 80s slickness.

So my wife is a huge fan, and she basically already has this on her Spotify playlist. But now we have a copy for the car.Was hoping to get the deluxe set with the DVD but it's regional just for Europe and I dont think it will play on our dvd player.

Whether you're an old school original a-ha fan like me or are new to their music, this is a great album. It has a few new pieces such as This is Our Home (my new favorite) and a lot of popular songs that are either sung by guest artists or have been newly intrepreted. I love the stripped down version of Memorial Beach. I think most people are now familar with the slow acoustic version of Take On Me - which is also on this album. It's a great example of what to expect. This is an album (2 CDs) that you won't get tired of quickly.

A-ha perform the most beautiful acoustic versions of favourites, along with 2 new songs, and invited artists. The music arrangements and instrumentation are a delight to hear. This concert showcases the musical diversity and talent that makes us love A-ha.A must-have is the video. I purchased the 3 piece set- 2 audio CD's and the DVD. It is amazing to watch the band bonding together again; the sound and visual quality of the DVD is great. If you couldn't be there, I guess, this is the next best thing.There are extras on the DVD too, wonderful conversation amongst the lads, and some beautiful, heart-warming smiles!!I think all A-ha fans will love this concert. A must have. Thank you A-ha

Love this CD!! Wish I had been there! These guys are so talented. Morten's voice is so amazing, even after all these years. I have recently rediscovered a-ha in the last few weeks and wow did I miss out all these years! I was so happy to find out they didn't drop off the face of the earth years ago because they are not known here in the US that much anymore. I was so glad to see this CD on Amazon. It has all the old favorites and their newer (to me) hits, as well as 4 totally new songs that are great as well. 2 new a-ha songs and 2 covers, one of those is actually a cover from Magne and Pal's old band Bridges. The story Morten tells about that song is so cute and funny. I love being able to hear all of the other comments they say between the songs, too. The Unplugged concept is really great, all the songs have been, as they have said "dismantled" and the result is Beautiful and emotional. The Unplugged version of Take On Me is truly breathtaking.

ein wunderschönes, sehr intimes Konzert von a-ha. Die Musik hatte ich schon als download erworben. Weil die DVD schon länger nicht mehr zu haben ist,(nur als blu-ray zum Phantasiepreis), konnte ich bei diesem günstigen Angebot von CD/DVD Bundle gar nicht glauben, dass alles einwandfrei läuft. Aber was soll ich sagen: Das ganze unplugged Konzert in sehr guter Qualität mit Videoaufnahmen der Proben und Statements von a-ha. Die wunderschöne Stimme von Morten Harket, alles perfekt gespielt, gemischt und produziert. Kleiner Wermutstropfen: leider keine (auch nicht englische) Untertitel, was für mich etwas anstrengend war bei den Gesprächen. Aber man hört sich rein...Für alle Fans und solche, die es noch oder wieder werden wollen, unbedingt kaufen, solange es noch ein solches Angebot gibt
