Much better than Ozeri model
I had the Ozeri original opener, which worked well and gave up the ghost a few months ago. I then bought the newer model, but it was hopeless. Supposedly opens 40 bottles in one charge and after a couple of weeks could not open one. This is a dream in comparison. The down button starts the screw on its journey, and there is barely a change in the motor as it bottoms out and starts drawing the cork. A very sturdy piece of kit, which does seem like it would open 40 bottles on a charge. Unlike the Ozeri, it comes with a stand for charging, so no need to keep plugging and unplugging. It also comes with a foil cutter and an odd device that pumps the air out of something called a part-empty bottle - but I have never used this as we don't use part-empty bottles...

Works perfectly
Very easy to use, no effort required, works on natural corks and man-made ‘corks’, looks classy on the worktop

Best wine bottle opener on market

Stylish
Stylish to look at and a good bottle opener which you have to hold firmly to ensure a good cork extraction. The two additional handy items work well. Good buy

I would Pass on this
I like to buy Cuisinart because I trust the brand. But this time they let e down. 14 months after buying this expensive product, the corkscrew broke. I wrote to Cuisinart, no answer, unacceptable. Plus I always thought this product was unacceptably cumbersome. it is huge -- and it has to be plugged into a base which takes alot of space. There are other cheaper ones on offer --

What MOre Could You need
Having read some of the 1 & 2 star reviews I am amazed - I think that some people are not in tune with the operation. I've had mine for over a year and opened many bottles! Just ordering another for a Christmas gift. Simply place the opener over the bottle while holding it, with the other hand, push lightly down and hold the 'down' button. The screw goes into the cork, and turns until it touches the top of the bottle and starts to extract the cork - at this point you have to keep holding the bottle as it tries to turn if the cork is tight. A few seconds and the cork is out and now press the top or 'up' button and the cork comes off the screw - simple! Its a lovely looking bit of kit which looks great and just works. It plugs into the mains for a quick re-charge which lasts a long time. There is also a foil cutter with a slot to hold it in the base station which is simple to use making a nice job of cutting the foil as well as making the bottle look good. I also use an aerator (separate purchase) which is a great addition to the 'wine event' - even the cheap ones. Not sure they do much to soften the wine but they do look good and prevent most drips.

The wife loves it
My wife asked for this as a present and she burst out laughing when she saw it. She thought it was going to be quite small but it is almost as big as the bottle of wine she wanted to use it on! She likes it though!
