Worked great to fix a broken Pintech cymbal
Great they offer this part to repair a Pintech e-cymbal, saved me having to purchase a whole new cymbal. Came with slightly different hardware than what was originally on my cymbal - phillips head screws on this instead of the allen-key bolts I had originally. But the holes matched up, and I reused the existing hardware. The original transducer box cracked around the jack. I tried repairing it with epoxy, but that failed. This part was the perfect solution!

Easy to install
I was replacing an exact one on a diy cymbal that's about 20 years old. Took be about 5 minutes!

works well
It is easy to install. Make sure the plug is in the back, so you do not hit it with your stick.

Use this for a universal electronic cymbal fix
I have an Alesis Nitro mesh kit. One of the cymbals stoped working over time. A new cymbal is about $70. This trigger simply adheres to the bottom of the cymbal with tape or screw it in . Plug in your 1/4 “ cable and your done. You can literally attach it to a frisbee if ya wanted to and it would work as a electronic drum cymbal. lol

When they work, they are good. No manufacturer support.
I bought four of these for a DIY project, where the idea was to mount the Pintech triggers on mute cymbals (those with many tiny holes). Two out of four Pintech triggers were defective. They produce false or no triggering at all.My hypothesis is that the two faulty ones don't work because of their foams and piezos protrude too much outside the case (see pictures). Then when installed on the cymbal, the piezo is in a constant state pressure / bending and my module just does not know what to do with the signal.I say this because the other two working ones have their foam and piezos flush against the plastic. If my theory is correct, this means poor manufacturing and quality control. It's a real shame considering the materials look solid and well done.I contacted the manufacturer one month ago and did not have any response from them.Returning the items is a further waste of money for me, as I'm not in the US.When they work, they are good for DIY projects.
