Fantastic for scavengers
Works great with the red Birdwell muzzle for my dog that loves to scavenge for things he shouldn't outside.

Works great to stop poop eating
We have a Bronzedog large size wire muzzle for our 100lb GSD. This muzzle guard fits on the outside of the muzzle. (we added holes to the outer edges of the muzzle guard to more securely attach it). Our dog no longer is interested in sticking his nose into dog or horse poop, and no longer coming back into the house with poop pieces stuck to the metal part of the muzzle. The white color looks really goofy on a black dog, but we spray painted the muzzle with black plastic paint. Although the paint didn't stay on for long, the guard now has almost a camo look to it

Alternate to the Cone
The shield fits well on the outside of the Medium muzzle. However, there are not enough air holes for my Australian Shepherd. So, I drilled more holes(see photo) You have to make holes for the zip ties to secure the shield to the muzzle. I am very happy with these products,IE fits well, tolerable and prevents my dog from licking his tail until raw.

A god send!
We have two retired racing greyhounds who are already used to muzzles, and when one of them needed emergency surgery to amputate her tail, we needed a way to keep her from getting at her wound/stitches. E-collars/cones do not work for greyhounds because their heads are just as narrow as their necks (sometimes even narrower), and they slip right off. With just her muzzle alone, she was still able to lick her stitches and we ended up back at the vet. We needed a better solution to block her licking, and this was it. It works flawlessly, is comfortable for her to wear, and breathable. So convenient and much more cost effective than any alternative!

works for my greyhound
my greyhound likes to eat everything he finds outside, this guard inside his muzzle protects him from eating stuff that could make him sick

Fits a size 6 baskerville
I have a compulsive licker, and the only thing that will stop him is a muzzle (his neck is too long even with a cone AND two donuts!) but, his baskerville has slats in the middle he can still get his tongue through. this fits on his size 6 baskerville (though not perfectly) and seems to do the job!

Works great!
I have used this muzzle for many years with my retired greyhound. When my beagle mix wouldn't stop eating stuff in the yard, I wondered if the smaller size would fit her, and it did! The muzzle guard is perfect and definitely cuts down on what she can eat. Though, she still tries to eat poop, it washes off very easily with the outside hose. My only complaint is that this muzzle will only fit skinny nosed dogs, and I can't seem to squeeze it on my pit bull, LOL. The larger size fits my coonhound foster, perfectly.

Great
Use with drilled extra holes and put under nose area for my Doberman goat. Put on his Baskerville muzzle with zip tights on the outside. Since he’s so smart he uses his muzzle to DIG AND LICK dirt and grass😭. Easy and doesn’t stop him from breathing or drinking. Just not eating grass and dirt and rabbit poop in the yard. Took it off for summer. Too hot. He’s been fine but never out alone . Still does his grass eating but getting better!❤️🩹 🙏🏻🐶🐾. Such a cute nerd!
