Good seat protection
I would have given it a 5 star rating but there are a few flaws. First is the center zipper, if the dogs lean on it the zipper unzips. It would be okay if there were a locking zipper instead of the one that is on there. I installed it with the zipper on the seat back in order to prevent the dogs from unzipping the cover.Second, there is nothing holding the seat cover on the seat sides. The dogs can easily get under the seat cover on the sides as there are no hooks or elastic straps to fasten the cover down on the ends. I have sewn these straps on myself and it works great. The quality of the cover is the best I have found.

Good materials, but poorly designed...
While it's constructed of good materials and the construction is sound, the design is poor. The first time my dog got into the back seat, the hammock slid sideways across the seat, exposing the first 15" or so of the end of the seat. There is no way to anchor the cover to the end of the seat to stop it from sliding from side to side. Also, the buckles are very cheap and don't hold firm when tugged on. If that were the only problem, I'd probably just put a pin in them to hold them snug.I have a Toyota Camry, and it was also a bit short across the length of the seat. They really should add about 6-10" to the length to allow it to more thoroughly cover the ends of the seat (in addition to putting straps on the end to secure it).The bottom line is, it doesn't accomplish its primary task, i.e. protecting the seat from dirt, etc., so I'm going to return it immediately. It's too bad, as it's an attractive design and the material itself seems durable.

Great seat protector, attractive and functional.
We have a subaru outback and the seat protector does pretty well covering the width of the back bench seat. We kept the microfiber side down to make it less slippery on the seat and because the waterproof side is good for travel messes on our long-roadtrip. The zipper is great because we had one seat down in the back (trunk was very full.) The straps hook nicely around front and rear seats and all in all this is a great piece. We even had to wash it once and it came out like new, and dried in no time! I give in 4 instead of 5 stars because it does kind of slip around a lot and the dogs were able to get on the seat to the sides of it.

Won't stay in place and won't stay zipped
As others have mentioned, this cover doesn't stay in place, sliding on the seat when my dog jumps in. In addition, the zipper on mine keeps coming unzipped. It's really annoying. My cheap nylon cover, which had strong Velcro instead of a zipper, did an equal job to this one, without coming apart, for less than half the price.I wanted to like this cover. I have the matching door panel covers, which I have been pretty happy with. People complained about those not staying in place, but I have not had them come off very often, and usually it's because of wind with the windows down.Dog About uses nice materials; even the straps that go around the headrests are better than many others out there. If they would put some anchors on it, again like my cheap nylon one, and if they would put a better zipper on it, this would easily be a 4-5 star product.Too bad. Oh, well. Back to Amazon it goes!

Goes well with salsa spills and long trips with your dog
Set up and clean up are incredibly easy with this backseat seat cover. I connect the top part to the head rests of my back seat, let my shepherd/akita mix jump in, secure him, and sometimes connect the other end to the head rests of the front seats. If you connect both ends you're going to minimize the amount of hair that you get in your car vs. just securing the backs. When we get out, I pop off the seat cover and give it a good shake or two. I've also spilled salsa on this cover by accident and after fearing the worst, there was nary a stain. I wiped it down and it was as good as new. I volunteer at a rescue and can confirm that the padding is comfortable for dogs of all sizes given the number of them that have fallen asleep in my back seat.

Maybe for chill dogs
We got this for our greyhound, who is dainty and breakable, but doesn't try to minimize his risk of breaking in the back seat. We were hoping he'd calm down and lay on this, instead of constantly going on and off the seat, or half and half. Unfortunately, the part of the thing that isn't on the seat freaks him the heck out.

Very hairy dog gets to come along
I love my big old hairy brown dog. She's been my great friend for over 10 years. Came from our local shelter, who knows how old or what kind. Just a good old fashioned dog. Anyway, I finally got a new car and I actually wanted to be able to offer a ride to people now and then.My pal is a great car dog. Sit is in the back seat like a little lady. By keeping the cover half way unzipped, once in a while I can reach back and give her a little pat.I can remove the cover easily and can now have friends in the back seat without providing lint brushes. Best of all, I can still see that old gray muzzle in my rear view mirror.

Durable but center zipper opens
Especially disappointing. The product only comes in one size and in this case one size does not all. We have a Honda Accord Sedan with a 35 lb dog and the zipper positioned in the center always opens. Perhaps if the zipper was constructed differently it would remain closed? Otherwise this would be a good product, When properly attached to the front seat head restraints the upward slant acts as a safety feature by hindering the dog's forward movement (see photo).
