easily dislodged
The connection is not secure and one tiny knock will dislodge it and disconnect from the laptop. If a photographer like me, it will corrupt a once in a lifetime trip with multiple photos that would have been sold but now are ruined and can not be salvaged...angry is an understatement! Apart from this major factor, the adaptor is great and has everything I need on it. Just needs a stronger connection to the laptop and personally, id like to see a CF card slot.

Perfect Solution for New MacBook Air
It is compact and seems well-built. Ports fit firmly but I didn't have to force anything. I've had my external display running off HDMI, power in on USB-C to charge my Macbook Air, and connected multiple USB-A devices and it runs perfectly.

Great product
This is exactly what I needed. The new MacBook pros unfortunately do not come with any other ports besides the usb-C but the sinstar adapter solved my issues, I’m now able to edit photos plug and view my display on a bigger screen thanks to the hdmi port

Seemed like a good idea at the time
The size, ports, and color seemed perfect to work with my 2019 MacBook Pro running Catalina.Received, plugged in, pass thru charging USB-C worked, USB worked with thumb drive, but couldn't insert my SD card.After fumbling for a time and actually reading the User Manual, I set up an Amazon chat with Nikki who recommended I turn my SD card upside down (label down) and try. Huh, it worked, now I could insert my SD card.Neither the SD card or micro SD card was recognized by the Mac.The device is going to be replaced and I'll give it another try. If it is the same I'll let you and Sinstar know.UPDATE: received the replacement unit which was loose in the product box, no internal packaging, and had coffee stains on it so it was obviously a used adapter. Plugged it in and went through the checks of all the ports and everything worked fine with this one. So, cleaned it up and UPSed back the first one I received. Gave it one more star rating.

Everything works properly
The high-quality aluminium material feels soft and durable and doesn't feel like it will break easily. It took me a few days to assemble the pieces I needed — Dell monitor, keyboard, power cable for monitor, HDMI-to-DVI adapter. So I just tried it out for a few weeks. Worked perfectly, and now my 2018 MacBook is driving a big monitor, and letting me use a more standard-size keyboard. It works!
