Afikim Afiscooter S 4-Wheel Scooter (Single Seat w/ 2 Batteries)

Afiscooter S is the large extra heavy duty model. They also have a C-Series. the heavy duty that is comparable to standard domestic heavy duty scooters. These units come in 4-Wheel and 3-Wheel models. I personally have one of each in the S-Series. These are excellent units with suspension systems that deliver a very smooth ride. In addition to the advertised feature of the headlights that drop to half power when the scooter stops, there are some other important points that should be.These scooters have automatic brake lights that activate when speed is reduced and extinguish when speed is resumed or the scooter comes to a stop. The pneumatic tires have ridged side walls that function as the "ride-when-flat" tires available for cars. The turn signal system is not self-cancelling as on some scooters so they don't timeout when waiting at a traffic light or walk/wait sign. Cancelling is accomplished by pressing on the turn signal selector switch, as on some motor bikes. Afiscooters are equipped with an additional hand operated emergency brake. Also, if the unit is to be moved a short distance in the free-wheel mode, there is an electric disengagement control in lieu of having to reach under the unit to manually operate a disengagement lever. There are two 4-LED headlights that provide adequate forward area light at night. (The picture on the Amazon site looks like a single lamp which may be an earlier model of the "S" series when it was named Breeze. I stated I have two new S-Series units and the have the headlights I described.) These scooters have received an award for their design and appearance, and, in the few weeks I have had the 3-Wheel and 4-Wheel models, I have received many compliments from seniors, and pre-seniors, even young people, about the appearance.The S-Series units have 1400W (1.8774 HP) motors powered by two 74Ah batteries and is rated as 9.3 mph top speed, but my unit units both run approx. 10.3 to 10.4 mph on a flat surface. Although some states have restrictions on electric vehicles over 1,000W, this unit, if used as a handicapped device, as for me, it is exempt.Hope this information is helpful.

I did not purchase this from Amazon. I purchased it from a Dealer In Florida. The President of Afikin USA dropped off my scooter at my house! I bought the wider seat because I am a wider guy. This scooter adjusts to you several ways. Seat wise back and forth and you can swivel it BUT be careful there is a Box on the back of the seat.. The Tiller also adjusts forward and backwards. There are 2 speeds. 1/2 and 1. @ 1/2 speed the throttle lever is most controllable. You can crawl with ease forward or backwards. That's important if you're in an amusement area like WDW with kids darting about. The high speed on MY S4 is 10MPh. I usually average 9+ but Florida is pretty flat where I live. I have done a few 15 mile trips downtown. This is really a great smooth ride with the suspension setup. I weigh 330 and this is so nice.What I don't like is the range. For me getting 20 miles out of it would be a stretch. 19 I am comfortable with. The 30 they claim must be a 98 pound person going permanently down hill. If I were to do it over I would have gotten the lion batteries. LOTS more expensive but they last a long time and the range is much higher.As far as Terrain goes this scooter goes through the woods quite well and up steep inclines with ease! I am VERY satisfied with this scooter!
