Soft and thin
This is very soft underfoot. It is thin - about the thickness of a doormat. It has a rubber (or something like rubber) backing, so it does not slip.The big thing for me with rugs is washability. I think for a nursery, although mine is in an adult bedroom, this is key. I couldn't find anything in the description and there is nothing on the label. It looks like I will be using the carpet shampooer. It is a little too big for the washer anyway.It came well-packed and rolled on a cardboard tube. I laid it on the floor and the inner edge was a little curled, but within an hour the whole rug was flat. Vacuuming gave off a reasonable amount of fibers. All rugs shed a little more than normal for the first few vacuums. The amount from this was not unusual.This is a nice rug. I wish it came in other sizes as I would like a bigger version for my living room.

Nice color and feel
The product photo doesn't do justice to the Caribbean blue color of this rug. It has aqua and teal and turquoise-like tones and looks a lot more vivid than the photo shows. In other words, it looks really nice.There's a slight error in the listing title stating that the rug is 70' by 52' instead of 70" by 52." But I don't imagine anyone would expect to receive a 72-foot long rug. Of course it's actually 70 inches by 52 inches, which is still pretty large as rugs go.The rug is low profile, not plush, but it's still thick enough to feel comfortable underfoot and to provide some insulation from cold floors. It also has a rubberized backing so it's non-slip and doesn't require an additional non-slip mat underneath it. It also appears and feels durable.Overall a nice rug with nice color and feel.

Attractive design, non slip backing, and a good rug.
This is in (surprise) the baby's room. I use it to lay down and play with him, and it works quite well. I was happy with the medium weight and low pile - makes it easy to clean. There's a rubberized backing so it doesn't slide, and it doesn't need an additional investment in a non-slip pad underneath it. It's soft enough to lay on and walk on, but hard enough it doesn't absorb a billion gallons of spitup and drool.

Nice on the feet too
The blues are a variety of a medium sea blue to a bluish gray, really nice look for anyplace..don't limit yrself to where you put it. The edges are tightly woven in a teal blue and nice and strong. The back is the latex type and with the rug being more on the heavy side, I haven't had any issues sliding around.
