This had everything I love in a story!
I loved Bossman! From the first moment Reese and Chase met, I wanted to know all about them. It was such an entertaining read with so many fantastic scenes but there was an underlying emotion that built throughout and it was incredibly well done. I am kicking myself for not reading this sooner!Reese and Chase were excellent characters. Chase was charming and charismatic and his pursuit of Reese in full-on flirt mode was awesome. He’s so much more than a good time, so I loved seeing his somber moments and the flashbacks of his past building to the present day, revealing his pain and secrets. I loved learning everything about Reese. How strong of a woman she was and what happened in her past to form who she is. These two were fantastic together and had great banter. There's a push and pull between them because of their attraction and the complication that he’s her boss, creating drama and a lot of witty scenes as well that had me smiling. I really liked them fighting their feelings because I could feel that simmering fire between them and couldn’t wait for it to explode. When it does, holy wow it was scorching! I loved Chase’s growth and healing throughout the story and all his vulnerable moments. I loved Reese trusting him and letting him in. I loved both of their retrospection and how cathartic certain moments felt. This felt light and fun but when that first flashback came, I just knew something emotional was coming. The build to all those details and how it mixed with the present day and their growing relationship was stellar. The drama, the emotion, the fun, the flirting, and the smoking hot sexy times were all exceptional. This had everything I love in a story!

HLB Reviews Bossman
So I was really introduced to Vi Keeland through Penelope Ward, and can I just say I loved their collaboration, so when I saw this book pop up while I was looking for my next book to read, I was really excited about it. I'm actually a really big fan of work place romance, I think mainly because it gives both more reasons for the characters to interact with each other more often and there is the whole forbidden should we keep this hidden element to it all. But honestly what pulled me into this book was the very beginning, the crappy date.I think most people can totally relate to having a crappy date and wanting a way out. But this was such an awesome way to meet someone, I mean Chase totally calls her out for trying to come up with an emergency to bail on this horrible date, and then when he joins her on her horrible date and the two of them start telling these ridiculous made up stories about each other, well it sealed it for me. I wanted these two to get together and I wanted it to be awesome. So of course when Reese ends up working for Chase's company they still have this kind of great dynamic. And what I really liked it how much Chase tried to convince Reese that he wanted to be with her, and followed along with all her little rules about not saying certain during certain hours, it was just comical and so much fun to read. And then of course they get together and it's great. I loved it.Of course not everything is smooth sailing, after all that would make for a boring book. Both characters have some hang up, or I guess that might be the wrong word, they both have tragedy in their pasts that really still influence their lives so much, for Reese it's in her day to day life, and for Chase, it sneaks up on him when he isn't looking and changes everything. Seeing how everything is dealt with between the two of them is both so sad but also so relatable I could see both sides for them, and how painful it must be especially for Chase. But I was pulling for them the whole time. For me, the best part of this book is the dynamics between the two of them, I mean they could really be so funny at times, I laughed out loud a lot. This book is so character driven, while having just the right about of laughs, tears, and super hot hanky panky that it made for a great read for me.

5 Amazing Stars!
Vi Keeland is quickly becoming an automatic one-click author for me. Every book is amazing and gets better and better, and Bossman is definitely my favorite so far! This book had everything that I love, angst, drama, forbidden romance, and a bunch of laughs. It was the perfect book for me and just what I needed. I loved Chase and his wild stories and how he was relentless in his pursuit of Reece. He was bossy, sexy, sweet, and kind all wrapped into one. He may have come off as a jerk when Reece first met him, but she soon found out she couldn't escape him.Reece has been unlucky in love, and when she meets the sexy, yet cocky guy in the hallway as she's trying to get an excuse to leave her date, she's annoyed, yet intrigued. When he disrupts her dinner with his date in tow, and ends up saving the night for her, she's in shock, and when she runs into him again, she can't keep her mind off of him. But then she gets a new job, and the sexy jerk is her new boss! I loved how she tried to stick by her beliefs and tried to stay away from him, but these two were meant to be together. The back and forth between these two characters is amazing. I loved their conversations, and the banter between them. Chase is hilarious with all the wild stories he tells, and but has a softer side to him as well. As the book progresses we get glimpses into Chase's life and the loss he has experienced. My heart broke for him, but I was happy to see him moving forward after so many years, and Reece was just the one for him to move on with. Reece tried to so hard to stay away from the "bossman" but when push came to shove, she knew she couldn't resist him, and once she gave in, things got steamy!I really enjoyed watching Reece and Chase navigate their way into the relationship they ended with. It had many ups and downs, and twists and turns, but worked perfect for them. I loved how their story ended, and I can't help smiling even after ending the book with the way things ended. If you're looking for a beautifully written stand alone that you will not be able to put down, definitely pick up Bossman today, trust me, you won't regret it!
