Daiwa (Daiwa) Spinning Reel 16 BG 4000

What I like is that they can be use for what ever kind of fishing you do. I own the 2500,3000,4000,the 4500 and working on the 5000. From crappie to big sumo cat fishing. You can use mono line or braid. They hole so much line and that’s a big thing for me. And please don’t let me get started on salt water fishing. I simply love them. Price is good they will last you for ever. Don’t be afraid try them you will be happy😁

The reel I received was an outdated old model

I had this reel for 1 1/2 years. I had an incident where the line roller froze and then grooved, thus cutting my line. So, I tried to find a replacement roller for my BG4000, a common $5 part that fits several BG models. There was not a parts store in the US that had line roller. I contacted Daiwa directly.....they did not have them either. They claimed the part was backordered and would not be in for months. The reel is a good buy but when something goes wrong, good luck getting it fixed. Replacement parts are a major problem.
