These worked great for what I purchased them for......Had a large Tapestry I needed to hang and the hardware that came with the rod would have made the tapestry stand out 2 inches from the wall, so I found these as an alternative to holding the rod closer to the wall, worked perfectly and looks awesome with the tapestry design and rod. The color is kind of a pewter color? I painted mine bronze to match the rod I had. I also agree with others about the screws and anchor, use your own. Still, Couldn't be happier. They added a nice decorative touch.

Looks great with my replica flintlock musket Adjustable mounts, I used those round felt pads just to make sure it would not touch the finish.
