the actual top is about 3/4 of an inch but the frame that holds it toagther is another inch and a half thick. so all togather 2- 3 inches it is pretty sturdy and the quality is very good we are very happy the kids luv it!hope this helps...marcia

Q: What is the difference between this table and the Joola Inside table?

THe inside table comes in four halves so there is a horizontal seam for the net AND a vertical seam up the center of the table.

Q: Does this table lock down when playing two players? Or, do the halves just butt together?

The halves butt together. The net clamps down and holds the two sides level, and the casters lock, so there is no movement. I haven't had any issues.

Q: Can someone confirm the table folds in half so one player can play?

Yes the table folds in half for one player. However the table comes as two seperate tables so when folding it you must fold each table seperately but it is very sturdy when playing as one player and easy to put away when folding together.
