Best socks ever
I bought these for my son in January 2021, when he was a freshman in high school. He is now a freshman in college and they are STILL amazing after being his daily socks. We have had conversations a couple of times when I asked if he needs new socks (he doesn’t), and I thought I should come back and let everyone know how awesome they are. They have not thinned and the elastic is still as strong as ever. If he ever needs more, these will be the ones we buy!

Love these Goldtoe socks!
These athletic socks have quickly become my go-to for the gym, running, and everyday wear. Better than the rest
This exact model of socks (656S) is the only one I use. It’s because they go on and off easier than most, are thick enough, and stay up. What goes first for me is the heel — in every wash lately, one of these socks will have a hole near the heel. Now, between 2021 and 2024 I bought 24 pairs of these socks. I calculate that for my two feet I get at least 60 wears per pair. So though over time I see lots of sock holes, the number really isn’t terribly bad. The fabric makeup is changed from time to time, making the website description slightly inaccurate. Packaging on the pair I bought March 27 states, “78% cotton, 13% nylon, 8% polyester, 1% spandex”. Pair I bought April14 and just received says, “78% Cotton, 19% Nylon, 2% Spandex, 1% Other Fiber”.

Like them - 1 caveat
I really like the feel of these socks.My one star removal is because they seem to always leave little black lint everywhere. I have a bad feeling that doesn't bode well for longevity.But as long as they last, they are very comfortable.

Way too long crew socks
Amazon recommended xl socks are supposed to be crew socks they come up to my knee. Very disappointed already wore 1 out of 12 pairs.

These are the only socks I wear. They last a long time and hold their elastic.

Cushy and thick!
This may be a little premature as I just started wearing them a few weeks ago, but these are nice, and with any luck will last a lot longer than the other white socks I've been getting lately? They do seem a lot more durable.They are thick and warm, highly padded. If I have one complaint it's that they could be a little more generous in size.
