This boat is a wonderful buy if you don't want to invest in anything huge yet. We use it as a family boat and my husband uses it individually for fishing and duck hunting. We bought the additional seat as well. This boat is great on lakes, ponds and rivers. It is also really hard to tip, despite its appearance, trust me we have tried. It is very sturdy, but also easy to transport and store. Well worth the money.

very stable boat, worked very well in shallow water. the boat could use a small rudder to help it to paddle more in a line,it just want's to drift in circles when you stop paddling, and could use some rings or something to be able to tie rope, stringer, etc.

I used it one time and the seat broke off the plate it's attached to. The design is faulty.

Great Stable Boat
2025 Update. I have been using this boat for fishing in shallow water for several years and I am still very happy with it. This boat is very stable. For me, it is a lot better than a canoe and kayaks did not have enough room. I use it in relatively calm lakes and marshy areas because it will float in about 5 inches of water. I bought the extra seat and the trolling motor mount for it. It holds all my fishing gear, marine batteries, plus there are side racks for extra fishing poles. It has a catamaran style bottom which I think helps with the stability. I have used it with a push pole, a paddle and an electric trolling motor. When using the trolling motor it was a little difficult to keep it going straight so I added a rudder to the bottom the the trolling motor shaft and that fixing my steering issue. When I have it loaded with all my geat it weighs well over 150 pounds which is a little too heavy for me to transport in the back of a pickup truck and launch by myself, so I ended up using a boat trailer for launching and recovering it from the water.

Great Boat. I'm 230 with a 100 pound lab, very stable not worried about ending up in the drink.

It's a great boat for duck hunting
It's a great boat for duck hunting. With the beavertail blind it is a deadly combination for duck hunting.

The rear seat is comfortable, but it is badly designed
Here is the problem. The rear seat is comfortable, but it is badly designed. I bought the boat in Sept of 2016 and the hinge broke the first day of use. There is no excuse in my mind for a boat that is so well thought out otherwise to come with a plastic junk hinge. The removable front seat is great but the permanent rear seat becomes a pain very quickly. It should also either fold flat or be removable. I bought the boat and use the boat because it is EXTREMELY SAFE. I am in the swamp a lot by myself and wanted something that would not flip over, this is that boat. Fix the back seat mess and you could sell a million of those things every year. Larry J. Smith Memphis TN.
