Are the snaps recycleable?

Hi. The snaps are used within the Christmas crackers to "pop" and make a loud explosive noise, similar to that of a party popper. The material in them acts like gun-powder, in that it goes 'BANG' when pulled. Once the crackers are pulled apart, the snaps tear and are no longer usable.

Can the hats and snaps be put in recycling?

Yes. The hats are made from tissue paper and the snaps are brown card.

When it says 20 hats and 20 snaps, does that mean snaps to make 20 crackers i.e. 40 snaps, as you need to put a snap at both ends of each cracker?

20 snaps make 20 crackers. Each snap is the same length as the cracker. It’s only when you pull the cracker that the snap, snaps in half.

I'm making crackers to cut down on plastic. Do these come in plastic packaging?

Hi. We send these in Paper or Cardboard envelopes. We do put a plastic Document enclosed label on the front that is made from plastic.
