Worked flawlessly, follow instructions and you cant go wrong. the battery fits perfectly and there are no modifications required to make it fit.Once installed and reassembled I charged it and have had no problems.

The battery arrived on time and it fit perfectly. The thin part of the included tools came apart but I've used the tools to open the iPod a second time so I know they can still be used. The battery needed to be conditioned and after charging and fully draining, the battery is holding the charge.

I installed the new battery today and it seems to be taking a charge; will report back on that if anything changes. Fingers crossed because I don't want to open the ipod ever again (but finally gave in because the old battery was toast).Four stars (being generous), because the "opening tools" are absolutely abysmal and serve no function other than to break in about 2 seconds. Back when I upgraded my 80GB drive to a 128GB SSD, I found a great tutorial that showed using multiple flat razor/boxcutter blades to pry open the left and right side and keep them open while you used a plastic tool to finish popping the case open. While it is slightly dangerous (if you're clumsy), it works phenomenally.I also want to advise everyone to be very careful when removing the actual battery because the ribbon cable for the Hold toggle switch is apparently stuck to the same goop that is used the keep the battery held in place and I unfortunately snapped the ribbon cable (not a huge deal for me as I never use it).

My old 60 gig Ipod was a second away from the trash after the battery died. I had heard the battery couldn't be replaced but a quick Google and voila! Needed some tutoring from YouTube on how to open the case as it's tricky but definitely doable! The tools are meant for a single use and they are fine for that. Result is a working Ipod once again!

I got what I paid for... the battery. The battery worked ok and was a suitable replacement but the two tools used to open the iPod were junk! It was very difficult to pry it open and I ended up using a flat head screwdriver instead because the plastic tools bent. Very cheap plastic! Save your money and just look for the battery alone.

The battery arrived on time and was the proper size and fit. It installed more or less okay; I watched a couple videos on You Tube to get the finer points of the installation process and everything was okay but nowhere near as easy as the videos suggested it would be. Prying open the iPod case was tough and totally destroyed the little plastic pry tools that were included with the battery. Once the case was open, everything else went smoothly. The battery rejuvenated my iPod and it works great.

Very happy with my battery exactly what I needed it's perfect charges up 100%. Saved me from having to get rid of my 30 gig iPod and losing all my music.

Battery is great, relatively easy to install if you watch a video online. The only thing that would improve this is to have the instructions printed with diagrams. Overall I am satisfied and excited to get new life out of my iPod!!!
