Q: there were no washing instructions, can they be washed in hot water in the machine?

I've been washing them in the washer in warm water and air drying by hanging them on clips on a hanger, and they did shrink a little, but they washed and dried really well that way. I would suspect they'd shrink a lot in hot water, since they are 100% cotton. I definitely wouldn't recommend putting them in the dryer, unless they're too big for you. I tried washing them in a hosiery bag, but that just seemed to bunch them up, and they didn't get as clean. I usually throw them in loose with a load of towels, since it's easier to find them all quickly and pull them out to air dry, if they are the only small objects in the load. Also, if you use heavy skin creams, I'd recommend turning them inside out for washing, as it seems like the heavier creams don't get washed out completely if you don't, and they feel stiff and oily after a couple of washings.

Q: are these good or too warm to wear at night (moisturizer) in the summer?

I bought these gloves to have some washable, reusable gloves for the pandemic. I am not normally a glove person. The gloves are well-made and fit comfortably. If one were to wear gloves to bed for moisturizing, these would probably be good...but this is out of my area of expertise/experience!!! So sorry.

Q: Can these be used while I am washing my hair? I have eczema bad on back of hands.

No, as these are all cotton gloves and the shampoo would soak through. I also have eczema and I would suggest using plastic gloves and using a good hand lotion before putting them on for washing your hair.I use the cotton ones at bedtime first coating my hands with aquaphor. Hope that helps.
