Q: Will the range be enough to pick up everyone in a courtroom setting?

Well, hard to say as court rooms can vary in size. However, these are great in that they can be daisy chained to get distance and coverage. They are much better than the ones recommended by my steno software company for room recordings. I would highly recommend these for hearings and depositions were you have a long table. I believe they would be great in most courtrooms as well but again, location, location, location.... You need to make sure you are within 15 ft of the speakers. I think you will like these, give them a try.

Q: Can this microphone be used on a commercial type mixer, with phantom power? Also, how long is the cable?

The mixer would need to have a 3.5 mm TRS plug AND provide 1.5 - 5 volts back to the mic. Our mixer does not provide this type of power to the 1/4" inputs. To get around this, we daisy chain six of the Olympus ME-33 mics to the Tascam DR-70D. Its 3.5 mm input does provide sufficient power to power all six Olympus ME-33 mics without a loss in sensitivity. We then output the audio to a mixer using a 3.5mm to 2, 1/4" Y splitter cable (a 3.5mm to XLR cable would work too).

Cercavo un microfono per registrare i contenuti delle mie lezioni e i contributi dei partcipanti, su computer: questo microfono è adattissimo, e ne comprerò altri, perché ho scoperto che si possono collegare tra loro e quindi estendere l'area di resgistrazione. La registrazione della mia voce è molto buona, e si sentono anche le persone sedute accanto a me. Ovvio che per le persone più lontane la voce è molto affievolita, avendo per ora solo un microfono, ma sono soddisfatta.

ICレコーダーもオリンパスを使っています。団地の集会所は２２畳くらいの広さがありますが、このスピーカーひとつで会議での各人の発言がクリアに録音できるかどうか心配でしたが、杞憂でした。このスピーカーは複数のスピーカーを連結してICレコーダーに接続できますから、もっと広い場所でも録音できますが、２２畳くらいの広さならばスピーカーひとつで大丈夫なようです。議事録を作る時の強力な助っ人です。
