The seller Penshop packed the pen box with foam to avoid any damage during transit.Lamy safari sent to me is genuine and in brand new condition.The fine nib as of now is not so smooth but this will get better with writing down few a miles. Will update on this with time.

Great pen. Smooth writing - even with the fine nib.Rated 3 as the body looks and feels like low grade plastic.Not worth the money paid - better quality finish available for the same price at same brand.

It is a LAMY Safari fountain pen with a fine tip. The tip is finer - and slightly less forgiving of poor technique - than a larger tip, but also broader and more forgiving than the EF.Exactly as expected, in a nice color. Some varieties have a gloss finish, some have a matte finish. My personal preference runs slightly in favour of the matte texture - but all have a quality feel.This is not a $200+ fountain pen. Don't expect that. But for the price... It reminds me of a low-end single malt Scotch: it's the beginning of real quality.In addition, I find the design to be a refreshingly clean and modern take on the classic, and I agree with the advertising - for me, the grip feels more ergonomic than a simple barrel.If you've met one LAMY Safari, you will not be surprised.I *was* surprised to learn that the nibs are interchangeable, so if you get a pen body you really like, but want a different nib - that's an option (though from what I've seen, the nib is a fairly large portion of the pen's price).I like these pens a lot. I'm certain there are better pens out there somewhere. But value for money, plus the pleasant tactile feedback of fountain pen writing: these are lovely.

Esta es una pluma preciosa, a pesar de ser plástico se siente de muy buena calidad y te da acceso a todo el ecosistema de tintas y puntas de Lamy.Pero como dice el título, no es para zurdos. La sección triangular tan va a ser muy dolorosa en muchos sentidos. Como soy zurdo, no es para mí, pero no creo que eso le deba quitar estrellitas.

You don't need to spend much money on a good fountain pen. LAMY Safari pens are great for journaling, sketching, and note-taking.
