A Review to Help You Decide If This Is the Yarn For You
This isn't a "like" or "dislike," but more informational. It's HARD to know what a yarn is really like without being able to see it! I used to use a lace-weight or slightly thicker yarn, which was sort-of fuzzy and had some loft, for a lot of baby projects. It's discontinued, of course, and I've had trouble finding a substitute that is acrylic (for those with wool/natural fiber allergies) and of the right size. (Omega Crys may be a little TOO thin.) This is working okay for my current project, which is a baby sacque/jacket, but it seems more of a "thread" than a "yarn." Imagine a thick mercerized crochet cotton (or silk, the name gives it away) that has a little more loft and better drape/heavier weight than cotton....or something between that and sock-yarn. I keep thinking this thread might be good for something like those crocheted snowflakes and angels for Christmas, but I think you'd have to starch it pretty heavily. Again, this is NOT a negative review. There are lots of uses for this type of thread/yarn. I know my pattern sample looks pitiful, but it's unblocked (and you can see my "lifeline" which was done in a beautiful light-pink color that I may use for part of the jacket.) The lower edge was worked on size 2 needles, switching to size 3. Again, this is just to help you make an informed decision before your purchase.

Bought ANOTHER pack!
Edited on May 12th 2021 to add: Well, I've bought this yarn MANY times & i really love it. I recently bought a light purple pack & pink pack. Pink pack is good so far but the purple one... Not so much! After crocheting a bit, ALOT of it was all frayed, like if you pull the strains apart a little & cut a couple or like you rubbed sandpaper on it. I cut that out, started crocheting again & in no time hit another long piece that needed to be cut away, then hit a frayed up tangled knot & had to cut even more away! I'm a little frustrated bc i truly love this yarn & the sellers are literally the best customer service I've ever dealt with. However, i can't help but get frustrated when this happens bc #1, it's too pricey to have half of it be unusable & cut away. Its already a stretch for me to finish my projects with just 2, so when i have to get rid of half of one, its just beyond inconvenient. Especially when you've already put so much work into your project & now can't finish it.. With that said, again this is great yarn & a great seller & I would not take this review as a negative that makes you not buy it. I've probably had 10+ packs & only had this issue a couple times & I will continue to buy from them. Im just a little bummed on this particular packLove this yarn! I think it's a tad pricey but my local stores don't carry doily yarn or fingering yarn... So I pay the extra $ bc I like it so much. If i could afford it, id buy a pack of every color! Will buy again & would highly recommend!
