Rotating screw can adjust the diameter of the clamp from 7.5" to 8.5". So it is suitable for hose with a diameter of 7.5" to 8.5".

Q: What size bolt head is on that? Try to get a socket to go with it.

its a 5/16 socket head or you can simply use a medium sized slotted head screwdriver.

Q: Will these work for a heat shield on exhaust?

Probably, i used them to bind together my muffler and exhaust pipe. Was longer than i needed but east to cut.
