Works great for Zoom on Mac
I've got a Mac laptop and although the built-in camera is fine, putting this Anker camera on top of my external monitor lets me look at the big screen and face the camera at the same time when I'm working in my home office. The camera works fine in Zoom when just plugged-in and selected in Zoom video settings, you don't HAVE to install the extra software. This is a plus if you work for a paranoid company that limits what software you can install. The built-in privacy lens-cover is convenient and shows a big painted red dot in the lens when it is closed. However, I do recommend installing the free Anker Mac app "AnkerWork" though. as it lets you adjust the settings for camera zoom and image brightness , which I found necessary to get the best picture. Any changes you make in AnkerWork show up immediately in Zoom, and then you can quit AnkerWork.

Actually a great camera, and with a dedicated customer service team
I was initially extremely frustrated when I got this camera and saw that it had a USB-A cable. This was the top pick from Amazon for "USB-C 2k webcam" and I recently went through a spate of getting things that were Amazons top pick for a search query that didn't apply to them. In my frustration, I wrote a three-star review because I only look at critical reviews and I wanted to warn people that the cable wasn't USB-C. But the cable is not built in, and the port on the camera side is USB-C. More importantly since it's not built-in, you can use any cable you want, as long as it is USB-2.0 and USB-C on the camera end. When I realize this I decided I would just suck it up and try the camera because I wasn't seeing options on Amazon that looked better. I had half-an hour of frustration because I was using an old USB-C to USB-C cable directly. I had to use the provided cable with an adapter, which was what I wanted to avoid. However I know for a fact that the brand of USB-C to USB-C cable I use isn't great; I use it because they're the only one that makes those in the color I want, I just keep replacing them when they go bad, what happens about every two years. I ordered a fresh USB-C to USB-C cable but in the meantime I found that it works great with the provider cable and a USB-A to USB-C adapter.I am impressed with the software that comes with it, which works great if you aren't using a defective cable. I would've preferred to be able to adjust the settings on the camera itself but it seems like every manufacturer is doing stuff through software now and the software works great with Mac. The one possible obstacle I realized is my next computer is definitely going to be System 76 with native Linux, and I'm not sure if it'll be compatible. But it does not claim to work with Linux, and I will cross that bridge when I come to it.Meanwhile Amazon had not even approved my review and I kind of forgot about it until it went live and the manufacturer immediately offered me a full refund, without asking me to take down the review. I asked them NOT to refund me, because this is me unfairly venting frustration at them over something Amazon does, which turned out not even to be relevant since the cable is not built in! And if I had been thinking, I could have inferred that from the fact that it came with a USB-A cable!

Great for low light
I replaced my logitech webcam with this Anker webcam and it is working great. My office is not well lit and has a window behind me. I was always very dark with my Logitech but am now look much better. Highly recommend in lower light applications.

Great camera and mic quality, but I'm worried about the camera blocker slider
The camera image quality and microphone is great and better than what my laptop has. The auto focusing was accurate, quick, and could focus on everything that I tested. I was especially happy that I could display things up close to the camera and that the camera would focus on it clearly.Set up was very easy, I just had to plug it into my laptop. I saw that there is a special software that I can use to customize the camera more, but out the box things seemed perfect for my usage. I will still take a look at what the software offers since it seems like firmware updates come from there. You can easily cover the camera by sliding a bar on the top of the camera to the left, which is always a nice feature to have. However, one thing I am concerned about is that the slider cover for the camera seems to electrically disable the camera rather than simply block the lens. My laptop has a similar switch that disables the connection to the camera, but the switch became loose which led to the camera rapidly and randomly connecting and disconnecting multiple times. That issue with my laptop led me to buy this camera, and I hope that a similar issue does not happen in the future with this camera through the slider breaking.I was a little worried about the grip of the camera hanging from my laptop, but after putting it on and shaking my laptop screen a bit, I found that it was pretty stable and didn't move. One last thing, the packaging is very nice! It was fun to unbox.

You NEED the BIG RED DOT.
That big red dot let's you know it's off! Just leave your camera on once by accident and you'll understand why you want this camera! Also the camera works great. Very clear in low light; don't use an extra light for video anymore.

Anker C200 - 2K webcam works great in low light
I had a Logitech V-U0028 that finally died. This new Anker C200 has very clear images even with low light and the sound is great! Very easy to install , took a moment between meetings. Easy peasy!

Wow!
I love this camera, especially the zoom feature. Only feature it's missing is vertical picture flip to mount the camera upside down.
