Helps me stay cool and saves energy overall.
I love these little fans. They are perfect for keeping close to the bed on these hot summer nights and allow me to not turn my air-conditioning unit thermostat down as low as I need to in order to stay cool.I have this size in black/dark grey which sits on the floor closer to my bed. I would’ve referred white, but it was unavailable. I also have the next size up of the customizable Pivot model in my room and my living room in white. My bedroom literally stays 5° cooler than what my central air unit temperature is set on thanks to these terrific little air circulators. since the wattage use is not high and costs only $1.50-2.50 a month to run depending on the size. This allows me to keep the central unit set higher by 5° resulting in an overall savings of about 3%-5% a month on my electric bill while also cutting down on the on the wear and tear of my air conditioning unit.

Solid fan if you have a shelf to hang it off of.
Solid fan with a clever base that makes it stand out. I own a bar and this fan base allows me to hang it from a shelf right above the register which free's up counter space, hits the employee in the face for a refreshing breeze. It works best if you are within 3 feet of the fan which in my application is good because it doesn't impact the customers who can be within 10 feet of the fan. It keeps the breeze controlled. For my use this is a perfect fan. The base stand is a winning design for a multitude of reasons: hanging option and weighted enough to keep the fan from toppling over.

Don’t believe the non hype (use it correctly & it works great!)
So I bought like three small fans at the same time in July in the Midwest. It was cooler this past summer, but I don’t have a/c, so… you get it.So I always have a standing Lasko fan from Costco in my doorway, but not over the threshold bc I have an air purifier in my room (bc if you leave it on & near the source it can suck up most human smoke before it permeates inside your space) & having the two together in the same space creates pressure on my head. Also it pulls the air from the cooler parts of my place. (I read about air circulation & it’s best to have your windows open at night (with caution if applicable obviously) & close then during the day to keep the cold air in.Anyway, I bought a tiny Beskar to clip on the back of my headboard for my head & back, which I do recommend as well. And I bought this tiny pink desk fan, which I returned though it does pivot like every which way. And I bought this & had it on my bed in front of me. So then I tried just the pink fan on ny sleep side night stand & the Beskar & my Lasko. And I was still not getting the relief I wanted. But then I tried the Beskar, the Lasko & this… AND IT WAS A GAME CHANGER! Bc no matter what certain reviews say about it not working like other Vornados blah blah, you have to use it correctly! I have had a Vornado for years & didn’t even realize how revered they are. It’s fine. It’s a small box on, I keep it on the floor. But this made me realize you have to use the smaller ones effectively. So I put it in the bed in front of me, pointed my Lasko at it & with the Beskar facing it, but on me, it just would create this perfect vortex of relief. Like I ended up pulling up a blanket every night. It’s not gonna cover a huge room. But it will cool down a smaller one & do what fans actually do, cool you down, as long as you also have the right sidekicks (fans & circulating air source) to accompany it. I do wish it was more flexible, and also simultaneously could stay in the position you put it in. It is annoying how it’s constructed. But it was fine for how I use it.

Great little fan!
Great little van. Gotta love Vornado, outstanding brand that consistently delivers: I own two other Vornado fans -- different sizes/uses -- and they're all well made with solid construction and materials. Also quite stylish. I'm using this one in an outdoor shed where my cat hangs out, to help circulate the air, which improves the overall feel of the space. Works like a charm -- despite the small size, this fan throws off a lot of air. It's also fairly quiet. My cat also seems to like it, always a plus;)

Going in the Garbage
This fan is so frustrating. Here is the serious problem with it… even on the high setting your face has to be 3 inches from the front of it to feel any breeze at all, and even then it’s not enough power to provide any relief.I’ve had it for 4 years.I have tried to use it many times and put it back in the closet when it aggravates me again. I am writing this review now because today is the day it is going in the garbage. Would not recommend.

Underwhelming performance.
I have other Vornado products, and my experience with them has been very good, which is why I felt like this one would be just as good. However, the amount of air this moves is disappointing. You literally can't feel anything at all if you're more that 2 or 3 feet away from it. The only thing it has going for it, is that it's small enough to fit below my monitor on my desk, and doesn't take up much room. It's also fairly quiet for a fan, although it is audible. If it's hot, and you're sweating, this isn't going to do much for you. If you just want a gentle breeze and you can sit very close to it, or just want some background noise, this might be OK. Honestly, I'm still thinking about returning it.
