band and box say made in china. Is that correct? Aren't Seiko products from Japan?

1st I am a fan of Seiko and the Japanese. MY 2014 Toyota FJ Criuser was built by Hino Motors Truck Plant in Hamura Japan. My 5 previous Seiko Dive watches were made and assembled in Japan. However; In todays competitive market most all models except the Grand Seiko can be made or assembled in other locations. Seiko watches are produced in Japan. They also have strictly controlled production in Malaysia, China, and Singapore. The Seiko manufacturing process is an in-house process, ensuring all watches are of the same excellent quality. Grand Seiko watches are completely made and manufactured in Japan. My SNE585 and I suspect yours as well has a China made Box, Bracelet, and Case. I am unsure of the Assembly location. Sub-Contract (Material & Labor) is the way business is conducted today. I replaced the band with an Uncle Seiko waffle strap.

No papers/booklet was included. Is that correct?

Yes Seiko is just like a lot of companies they have went to download your booklet from the internet, you should have a envelope with the warranty card that has institutions on download from seikousa or you can call the number and as for a booklet.

What is the warranty for this watch (seiko sne585 prospex men's watch silver-tone ) is it a global warranty?
