I love this as a travel palette. It has Enough pans love how the cover pieces become a water well or place to place brushes. 'the design is well thought out ! I use it for travel sketching. thank you

This palette works great! I have a couple of travel palettes and this one is easily the best. The cups attach to the side and it can "clamp" onto my leg/thigh so I can have my hands free. I used it to paint on a flight and it was great even in turbulence!

Buena paleta cuando estas pintando sin prisa porque tiene varias piezas para emsamblar cuando suspendes la sesion de pintura y estas en un grupo. No me parece tan práctica por esto. Debes tomarte tu tiempo para cerrarla y guardarla. Son varias piezas.Es de buena calidad, el convepto muy bien logrado, no es para mí.

I can’t tell you how many watercolor palettes I’ve purchased based on the suggestion of YouTube artists and watercolor artists’ books. Some with lots of mixing space, some solely for travel, and some that I simply liked the look of. My latest purchase is this Portable Painter Classic Palette…and immediately after buying the Classic…I saw they have the Classic Plus which I wished I had bought instead. The only difference between the Classic and the Classic Plus is the Plus utilizes the space where the little paintbrush lays, by turning it into more places for paints to be added. Since we all have brushes we’ve purchased, the idea of having additional paint spaces makes more sense. So I ended up buying the separate pans to make use of the brush tray, which was $16.50 if I remember correctly.As far as the Classic palette itself, it’s an ingenious design that allows us to use our thigh to hold our paints while sitting outside to paint plein air. With the water containers on either end of the palette, you’ve got everything easily in reach. It’s really very clever. I wish I had seen this prior to buying a travel easel and tri-pod stand, and a travel water cup, etc etc to do my plein air painting. Less is more and such a simple, easy setup means I’ll do a lot more painting out and about, then I would carrying a lot of gear around.If you’re thinking of buying this, and if you only use 8 paints or less in your palette, then this is perfect for you. If you like to carry a few more paints, then get the Classic Plus for $10 more.

This portable palette is a must have for plein air! It will hold a lot of watercolor paint. I love that it can hold clean water and dirty water. It’s stable on a surface or across the knee. I like how the travel brush is two in one. The mixing palettes has enough depth to where you won’t have unwanted colors mixing or spilling off the surface. I love how something so compact is so versatile to use! Can get so much usage out of this portable palette for a fair price of cost. It is now an essential in my plein air bag! I highly recommend this portable palette to other watercolor artists!

I’ve been wanting one of these for so long but i had to wait a few years for a spare 40 bucks. Finally splurged and i use it for en plain aire painting with gouache LOVE the all in one function and smallness of palette but it could be smaller or thinner. Glad i got this and you will be too!
