Works just as good as the original!
At first glance I was skeptical this product would work because it was soo lightweight and I was disappointed that this was not the authentic Nintendo charger. However, upon comparing it to the original, this charger is not that much lighter than the original Nintendo WiiU Gamepad charger. I plugged it in and the little red light came on the game pad indicating that it was charging and it’s worked fine ever since! Great product!!

Replacement - Works
Our cat keeps chewing on the cord and periodically we have to replace the cord when the kids accidentally leave it out for the cat to get to. Works great, just like the original minus the at teeth

Replacement ready for duty!
Product worked as expected allowing my original power cord to retire gracefully after serving for over 5 years under 4 kids and two adults, all Mario heads.

It is a power adapter. If you need one, get it or throw out your controller.
