This and a new mast are probably all you need to fix these Mercedes power antennas. Excellent drop-in replacement part. I am very happy to have this part available. These appear to be made of nylon and are strong.

Took out the old gears of the Hirschmann antenna, replaced with these AntennaMastRus gears and works flawless even with old aerial.

Used on my W140/C140 98 MB CL500. Perfect fit and antenna went right in after replacing the gears. Saved me way more money over buying a whole new motor/unit! Thanks again!

I haven't put the repaired antenna back in the car yet, but in comparing the original design with the new gears, it's a huge improvement. For mine, and my guess for most, it's the inner gear that has the tab that breaks. The original design has the tab molded in the face of the gear. In the improved design, the tab is molded to the face of the gear plus the gear hole raised surface. The tab on the outer gear is almost the same as the original design, but it looks a little beefier than the original. Either way, the outer looks like it's less likely to break.Good job.

My repair on the gear lasted 10 days. Bought this gear set and saved the antenna.
