AntiquaxOriginal Wax Polish 100ml

Very easy to apply wax and produces a decent finish. I used this on a rustic oak table that I wanted to preserve the imperfections created by years of abuse from my children, sort of seal in their naughtiness so to speak and produce a table of memories, but I also wanted to bring out the beauty of the oak and have a reasonable finish. I roughly sanded down to bare wood with 120 grit, gave a quick rub down with 600 grit wet and dry (so not a perfect finish) then built up the wax. The Antiquax was a bit thinner than a mansion wax, which made it easier to apply (great for a high end finish but maybe a heavier wax might have filled in my imperfections better) anyhoo I am happy enough with the final result. Time will tell how robust it is after curing (another couple of weeks should do it) but as an initial finish I am happy and would recommend the wax.Plenty left in the tin so I will try it out on some rosewood furniture with a very high end finish and expect it will be perfect for that project. Did I say plenty left in the tin… Unless I put it on my floor this 100g tin will last me years, a little really does go a long way.

Good quality wax that leaves a nice matt finish on my furniture projects that I paint with chalk paint. When it first goes on it does look a bit yellow which concerned me at first, but once it is rubbed in and left for a few minutes, the yellow colour fades.

A cliche I know but this really does what it says on the tin! It was used on a pine unit and also a pine table and it gave a nice looking finish. A bit of elbow grease is needed for sure but if you use this with the patience required I think that you will be pleased with the overall result.

I bought this for a church event for older people at our mid week service. It was to be a sensory memory journey but did not have the traditional scent that I thought it would have and had rather a chemical smell. I had to order another Lavender polish. But if used as a modern polish (I am sure that it will still be used) It is good.

This polish is clear and great for waxing paint finishes. My wife restores old furniture and often gives it a paint finish,. Many ordinary wax's leave a slight yellow tinge on the finish but not this one.I have also used this on an old clock I have and it has really brought the wood to life again, you can now see the grain and it has a nice shine.Overall this is an excellent restorative polish. Highly recommended.
