Great Baitcast reel
I have now purchased three of these reels. They are easy to adjust for casting, they are super smooth in both casting and the retrieve, and they are way more inexpensive than some of my other BFS reels. I have not experienced any problems with any of the reels. I enjoy fishing with them.

Love it
This reel is fantastic. Have been using it for a year constantly now. Not 1 problem. Casts perfectly and the retrieve is smooth as glass. The look and finish have held up great. Would buy again.

Perfect budget BFS reel
This thing is awesome for anyone starting out in BFS. I got this as my first one and happy I did.

Very nice BFS reel...
Now I've been fishing bait casting reels for well over 40 years. I've heard stories of people being able to cast 1/16oz Lures with these BFS Reels and I thought it was complete BS. So, I bought this reel to see if it was true and it Was! When I purchased it I put on some 6-pound braid on it and could cast a 1/16 Tube jig A good distance with a little practice and with a 1/8 ounce cast master spoon I can almost cast all the line off spool! Needless to say, I'm very pleased with this reel excellent value smooth as silk and casts great highly recommended.

Decent
Dose pretty good bfs isn’t my main niche as a inshore guy but I like to have a bfs setup on the boat for certain situations with really spooky fish so this gets the job done for the few times I use it however it doesn’t throw sub 1.5g rigs like a Sabiki rig that great in my experience. I do appreciate the deep spool for when I’m not fishing the flats and need more line capacity.

Love It So Far
I am just learning how to use a bait caster this year, and this reel has really worked well. I am running the deep spool with 6 lb monofilament. Yes, I had quite a few backlashes at first, but I am picking it up very quickly, and this little reel makes it easy. I mostly fish the same 7gm (1/4 oz.) spoon, or a minnow lure of about the same weight because it is easier to learn with a consistent weight on the end of the line. I set the spool tensioner to where there is no play and little to no friction, then set the brakes to about 4 (out of 5). If there is no wind, I might back it down to 3.5. As I get better, I will practice with backing the brakes off more, as well as using lighter lures, and will try the shallow spool with lighter line (probably won't go lighter than 5 lb, though). I really like everything about this reel, even the color scheme. It has understated good looks.I am using mine with a 7' Daiwa Spinmatic D light action trolling/casting rod designed for 2-6 lb line, and 1/32 to 1/4 oz. lures. It has only been about a month and I am casting just about as far as I could with my spinning gear, maybe not quite as far, but pretty close, and it is fun to learn a new fishing style. I've found that I do just fine so long as I pay attention and "cast with a heavy thumb" meaning feather that spool with your thumb and be ready to apply smooth, solid stopping power just before the lure hits the water or encounters wind.UPDATE: This reel continues to perform well. I switched to the shallow (bfs) spool for a while, but went back to the deeper spool, because I needed the extra capacity. With the shallow spool, I would almost empty the spool on long casts. If I was fishing small streams or thinner line, then I would use the bfs spool, but the deep spool casts well, too, and holds a lot of extra line.

First bfs reel
Everything is perfect about this reel except the tension knob and another thing. The tension knob does not work at all so you just have to rely on your brakes. There's no noise coming from the reel and it feels good quality and it's worth it for the money. Another problem is that if you use too thin of a line the line will get stuck inside the edges of the spool and might break.

amazing reel
I bought this as my higher end bfs reel. I have other cheap ones and they just weren't cutting it, and I saw some video reviews on this and decided to give this one a shot.I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality of this reel. It's super smooth. I think it's smoother than my Abu Garcia Revo stx, which cost me double when it was on sale. There's barely any play on the reel handle knobs, spool housing, side plates, etc. For this price point I would expect some but it's really well built. The drag clicks are really nice. It's audible but not annoying like some other reels I've used.It casts great. I can cast a trout magnet about 30ft with this. It can cast as well as my ultra lite shimano spinning combo. On the normal spool, I can cast a 8th oz jig with a curly grub out 100ft easily. Haven't tried a half or a football yet but I have a feeling it's not going to have any issues. The magnetic brakes are really good on this thing. I was casting the jig and caught grass behind me as I was launching the rod forward. I heard that dreaded zip from the drag clicker and I knew what had happened instantly. I looked down and saw a huge bird's nest but the spool stopped as quickly as I was able to look down. I've seen bird's nest as bad as this before and it usually ends up with me just cutting the line off. Well, I took a chance and slowly pulled on the line and it just came off all the way without any hesitation. Not once did it tangle where I had to reel forward to untangle. I've had plenty of bad backlash before and I've never experienced anything like this. This reel is just well built. My only gripe is that it has a bit of a weak drag with only upto about 10lbs but since it's geared toward bfs it's adequate.Absolutely recommended, which is rare to say about a higher priced reel directly from China.
