No! You're spot on in finding the weak point in this configuration. The brackets were tested to 10,000 lbs each, but the other components aren't nearly as strong. The lag screws should support about 500-800 lbs of pull out force per screw (250-400 per thread inch), depending on what kind of wood they're screwed into. So that's about 1000-1600 lbs per bracket. The quick release hooks, however, will only support about 250-300 lbs each. If you use a braided polyester 3/8 in rope with these, then you should get about 3,000 lbs on each rope. If you want to greatly increase the load limit, then swap out these quick release hooks with climbing-grade carabiners (UIAA certified at 25KN), which should hold 5,000+ lbs each.
