Q: does this come with a charger

Yes, it comes with a charger. It takes about 5 hours to fully charge the saw and we get about 30 minutes of CONTINUOUS use (only pausing for a few seconds at a time to move debris or to move saw around on the project). We're very happy with it :)

Q: I already have a 20v worx weedeater. i don’t need the trimmer and battery. can i purchase just the polesaw without the battery and it be cheaper?

You can definitely purchase the saw without the pole much cheaper. Available on Amazon. Not sure about tool only, but EBAY has one without the battery. However, for the price, I would always want to get the extra battery.

Q: Can you buy extra batteries

yes...You can purchase the 20v 2.OAh or the more powerful 20v 4.OAh and these batteries can be used on any of the 20V power or garden tools in the WORX Power Share platform.
