Foam pore size is too large for smooth finish...
I bought these because I thought they would be identical to the MasterCraft ones I was buying at Menards for $1.50 a piece. I was wrong. The ones from Menards have a pore size which is significantly smaller. When laying down paint on flat surfaces with semi-gloss or gloss paint, such as woodwork, the pore size matters. Whether you thin the paint with floetrol, water, or don't thin at all, the pore size affects how the pain self- levels, which is important in the achieving the end result of a smooth surface. These might be fine for touch-up paint jobs. They are approximately equivalent in finish to using a 1/2" nap roller. The finish is not smooth.

Foam separates from red plastic core.
The foam roller separates from the plastic core within 5-10 minutes of use. It took 5 rollers to paint 8 feet of chair rail trim.

Worthless
The foam roller slides right off the plastic core once paint soaks in making it absolutely worthless. I should have listened to the other reviewer that said the same thing.

Not worth it
Foam separates from the plastic core after a few strokes and falls leaving paint where it is not wanted.

Junk rollers
These foam rollers are junk and is not worth the price these rolls once there wet with stain or paints the foam swells up and falls off the roller. You will go through a ton of these if you have a large project cause these fall apart fast.
