A must own for any biker!
Initially I was just hoping that Duckswax would be on par with most other leather care products, I have used plenty of them over the years, I purchased it following reading a review on MCN and decided to give it a whirl as its made from 100% natural stuff - instant brownie points here! Now I'll be very honest here, my normal product of choice is from Nikwax which works well so I had no real expectation, if Duckswax wasn't great I'd just replenish my usual product.I have a vintage leather jacket , Black and Yellow, that has seen lots of miles and weathers over the years and after a few years hanging in the dark I decided to press it back into service, as you can imagine it was very dry and had lost all its suppleness...... enter Duckswax , I cracked open the pot to the most wonderful smell ( sort of a teatree odour) inside was an applicator sponge and the quite solid paste filling most of the tub.I followed the instructions and using the sponge and my hands massaged the Duckswax into my very 'hungry' jacket, after a liberal coating the jacket was immediately better looking, no discolouration of the leather at all, but some what 'tacky' to the touch.... a couple of days hanging in the warm and the wax had been absorbed by the leather and the tackiness had gone, the jacket had regained is lustre and the leather was again flexible and pliable..Result!3 weeks in and the jacket is lovely to wear again and looks great. It was about this point the I got caught out in a torrential downpour, I was amazed at how well the water beaded up and ran off the jacket, especially when on the move, now the pocket areas got a bit damp and allowed some water ingress although this was probably through the zip area as you'd probably expect, but on the whole the leather was not soaked as most of the water had just run off, I have now idea how long Duckswax would hold water at bay and prevent absorption in prolonged wet weather use , but I have given my jacket two applications, extra care around seams and chest area , and am confident that most unexpected rain showers won't present too much of a problem!I will follow this review up as I have a pair of touring leather boots that I virtually live in that need a good clean and reproof, I wear these in all weathers..... so this will be a real test of Duckswax ( I may possibly order a fresh pot to see how much I use, and show you guys..then we'll see how long it lasts and when or if they get saturated.)So far Duckswax gets a big 10/10 from me!

Waterproofed my leather motorcycle kit
I had recent bought a 2 set RST women’s leather gear and it was not.durably waterproof. I road to Malvern from Gloucester in pretty much pouring rain and the leather stayed waterproof and so did the gortex like material down the inner of the arms and legs did. It took me over 2 days to ensure the wax fully set into the leather, 2 coats on the first day about 4 hours apart. Then the same on the second day. Any residue wiped off easily with a normal towel.Being honest the wax has a strong okay smell at the start, but by the time it had soaked in it smelt like nothing! So I was really happy and relieved about that.Really improved the waterproof qualities of my leather, I was probably riding in the rain for about 2 hours and nothing soaked through.

Excellent product for reviving & protecting leather
After reading reviews on Amazon, Facebook & on the suppliers website I took the plunge and bought the large pot of this product direct from the suppliers website. It came well packaged with three sponges and I bought a couple of extras too.My main goal was to revive my red motorbike boots as they were looking dry and a little sad. After three applications over 7 days my boots are now supple and smelling good. The product brightens colours and leaves a nice shine on the leather (see photo). After riding in damp conditions with Road spray and fog my feet stayed nice and dry. Going forwards I will be reapplying every month or so to keep them supple and waterproof.I've also gone over a couple of pairs of black leather walking boots and they are looking bright and supple. I've not tested them out in full British rainy weather but in damp situations the water beads, runs off and doesn't soak through.Very easy to apply, on with sponge and buff with a microfibre. After 5 uses on pairs of boots it looks like I've hardly scraped the top of the pot, I can see it lasting me a year of not longer. I have recommended this to friends and family everywhere. Highly recommended and great value for money.

the item delivers as advertised, the rating is given the lack of information available on the ingredients as this is a limiting when considering to use the product on expensive leathers such as Nubuck or top quality calf. I used the product on lesser quality leathers and had no issues whatsoever, I did not notice any decoloration or damage being made on the leather but was not sure of there were any chemicals such as petroleum.
