what paint and glue do i need?

I used Revell liquid glue. As for paint it's mostly matt, silk and gloss black. Aluminium, silver, clear orange and red. I use car paint 'rattle' cans for the main body. A lot of the time I improvised with the paints as you can end up buying a tin of enamel model paint for one small part (aluminium-silver-steel = not much difference).
