Iwatani Corporation of America P Aburi Grill Plate CB-P-AM3 P, M, Black

I bought this grill accessory for my Iwatani gas stove so we could have yakiniku at home.It appears to be well made with steel and finished off with an enamel coating. The product provides clear instructions on how to use it and we used the grill as instructed.After a single use , the enamelware on the central grill plating started to come off exposing the steel underneath. The day after, the exposed steel started to react with the open air to form a coating of rust. After reading through a separate leaflet in English, there's a disclaimer and health hazard warning advising materials used to produce the grill may be classed as a carcinogenic under the state law of California. Safe to say, I requested a refund for the grill. I haven't heard anything from Amazon yet, so we'll will see what happens.So we're concerned that Amazon would offer this product for sale considering the manufacturer's upfront admission the product may be a health hazard. I wouldn't take the risk and buy it.
