Good replacement for old dial thermostat.
Really pleased with this thermostat. Relatively easy to install, but like me if you have three wires; red, blue, yellow and earth and wired the red and black to A and B as shown in the diagram, it will not work correctly. I had to watch a short video on wiring one up and you need to discard the blue and earth wires (safely) and fit the red wore to A and the yellow wire to B. Works perfectly and much more accurate that the old one. We should be saving gas now because of it being much more efficient. Very much recommended, but the instructions are dire!

Big Improvement
This was a big improvement on the old rotary dial thermostat I've had for 20 years. The old one had a temperature "on/off" trigger range of at least three degrees which was really noticeable in the depths of winter. It was also vague, or should I say approximate, in terms of settings, not least as some of the markings on the dial had faded. Yes, I have been meaning to change it for a while.Fitting was a doddle and, despite the fact my old thermostat had more wires connecting it, a quick search of YouTube provided instruction on which wires were redundant. The new thermostat has a trigger range of about one degree and the temperature can be set by half degree increments. My only small issue is that switching on and off is relatively loud. It is a quite audible 'click' which, while largely unimportant to me as my thermostat is in a hallway, might be mildly annoying in a lounge (for example), especially given the short trigger range means it can switch frequently when cold. This was the only reason I reduced the score to four stars and, in fairness, four and a half would probably be more appropriate.

Keeping it Simple : replacing my old Honeywell 6360 mechanical room stat with a DT90A
I wanted to replace my old erratic mechanical room stat with a nice new modern one. There were plenty all-singing, all dancing ones which looked fun but I wanted the simplest possible. The Honeywell DT90A looked the simplest replacement. It just did temperature switching with no frills except for the useful frost override. The baseplate for the new DT90A fitted the screwholes from the old one making installation really easy. The instructions are clear and give wiring options for a range of different systems. I used the Y-Plan diagram going to the three port valve but it is very simple - just two wires so it should work with most systems. The old earth wire was no longer required so was taped off. And now it is working perfectly!Very simple! Please Note! I this thermostat is NOT a programmer / time switch - just a room thermostat mostly for use with a separate programmer.

Wall Thermostat
Needed a quick replacement thermostat for my old boiler. Did not want another mechanical one. Wanted a digital display. My old thermostat had no electrical power to it, just cable to switchCentral heating on and off. This one being battery powered was perfect, working well for quite some time now, and same batteries.

Easy to fit up but clicks alot
Very easy to install, replaced the old dial type thermostat. Brings your home into the 21st century nicely. Simple 2 wire installation and the backplate lines up with original screw holes for added bonus. My only gripe would be that it seems to click in and out alot to maintain the temp, given that its located in my front room above my head whilst watching tv is very noticeable. Im sure I will get used to it. Overall a nice modern replacement

An relatively easy DIY job
A great stat, but fidlyvto fix and instructions could be better. Only 2 wires needed for this model. Temperature display is clear and accurate and adjustment is very easy. Clicks quite loudly when cutting in!

Real energy saver
This replaced an old Honeywell rotary room stat. The old one had a setting that was about 5c +/- from the actual room temperature measured with a thermometer. So the heating was on or off much longer than it needed to be for economic working. Easy job, and it’s accurate to .5c. Smart meter has registered a saving in gas use already and it’s only been fitted for 3 hours👍

Good device, but poor instructions
The device was easy to fit as it was replacing an old analogue Honeywell thermostat and all the screw holes line up. The only tricky bit was getting the cover on, but it is easy once you figure out how. The instructions were not very good as they are just a series of diagrams and very little text. I found upon searching on the internet a much better set of instructions for it from Honeywell so I can't understand why these weren't included in the box with the unit.It only reads to the nearest 0.5C. I have put an accurate thermometer next to it and at first they were different by almost 1C. Hover after a few days, it seems to have settled down and it is now reading more or less correctly. I think it takes a while for it to react to change in temperature.Other than that I am very happy with it.
