Q: would it be possible to fill this with chocolate?

It would be extremely difficult. I wouldn't say impossible, but the hole to put the water in is very small. You would have to heat the chocolate so it was very thin.

Q: Does the mold leave a seam where it seals?

I do not know exactly because we bought this for a birthday present ... I do not believe so ... Secondly, you can always run a little warm water on it and melt down a seam if there is one. We bought the Tavolo for ourselves. In truth, though, we may well have bought the Zoku had we spotted it on Amazon. The person to whom we gave it as a present loves it ... And -- final comment -- these big spherical balls of ice are the cats pajamas!
