Q: What’s the difference between 3um and 1um gold plating?

Some cheap cables in the market may use iron connectors without being gold-plated, which will make them easy to be oxidized. Most cables in the market adopt 1um gold plating. They may work with no difference at first. However, slight signal loss may occur after a period of use. iVanky has increased the gold plating to 3um so it’s more durable and can bear much more times of plugging and unplugging. Q: Will it work with my new macbook and iphone?

You should be able to do it wirelessly through airplay so it might not be an option for you
